P5 is a chromium alloy used for its strong resistance to hot sulfide corrosion cracking. 5% chromium material has a higher minimum mechanical properties than 1 1/4% and 2 1/4% chromium, which makes the material ideal for high temperature and pressure applications.
In addition, 5% chromium can be used for elevated temperatures and corrosion resistant process and service.Typical temperatures applications range from -20° to 1200° F.
